- I hope you'll understand how much I love my job
I'm a Principal CMS Systems Architect, Adobe Experience Manager and enterprise web systems subject matter expert, and a general enjoyer of helping companies develop web systems that really work for them.
I'm a 2X Adobe AEM Champion, Adobe-Certified AEM Architect & AEM Dev/Ops Engineer, and Adobe User Group Leader with over 16 years of experience on AEM (and earlier "CQ") systems, and celebrating 30 years in the web systems field this year.
I've worked on the AEM websites for over 55 different brands, and absolutely delight in the variety of problems one can solve in the area of large-website content management. I've led large and small website migrations, upgrades and re-platforms, and highly enjoy leveraging the wide & vibrant Adobe network to bring the right tools to bear upon the tasks & requirements at hand.
Want to get to know me a little better? I got interviewed on the Nerd Journey podcastinterviewed on the Nerd Journey podcast, and I think this fun deep-dive we did on the role of interest & continuous learning paints a good picture:

For the past many years (this blog actually TURNS TWENTY THIS YEAR!!) I've also been trying my best to share the knowledge on the AEM & CMS space. I started & have hosted the Arbory Digital Experiences AEM podcast since 2023, which has been a ton of fun.

I also got inspired by the famous "Dutch News from the Cycle Path" journalist Anna Holligan to start my own video series, doing AEM podcasting from the mountain bike trail:

I've found that if I can't talk about something while also avoiding death on a mountain bike, I probably don't know it well enough, so it's a good test of an ability to understand & encapsulate technical concepts. Plus, it's also a fun way to get away from screens for a bit.
When I’m not slaving over a hot server or agonizing over a deployment pipeline diagram, I spend maximum time with my family (who also love the outdoors), mountain biking and skiing, trail-building with my son or watching my two lovely daughters dance.
