GeoTag Junkie: Where my Last 500 Photos were Taken
October 31, 2007Unfortunately, the wonderful Flickr map only lets you display as many points on the map (at a time) as you can fit in thumbnail photos across your screen. So, for someone like me who meticulously geo-tags every photo taken (in the hopes I’ll one day be able to locate the ideal geo-data visualization app for my photos) the closest thing I can get to a good map is the Flickr Organizr. Here’s a photo of how it looks:
Great Post!
That’s the first time I’ve seen that article on Ross — I knew he was a dork, but didn’t realize exactly the extent to which he was a bigoted, religion-hating, deprogramming, dork.
Once again, let’s stick to reporting on the good, wholesome activities that religious groups are doing to try to get people to be literate and moral. That’s the real news story.
CNN is a very christian/liberal news family and therefore try to spin news more into their liking. It is so funny to watch two news channels like fox and cnn during an election. Fox has the republicans way ahead most of the time (during projection times) while CNN has all the democrats winning. soon, news media giants will be a thing of the past.
Kevin –
I have to agree with you. Yes, there is some editorial organization that needs to take place with content — as when you have a straight-up Digg-style news site, you just end up getting mac vs microsoft, Halo 3 or girlie pics. All told, that’s not all too much worse than completely skewed news being presented as fact – as at least you know, with Digg, that it’s just some random kid’s opinion.
In the “Way to Happiness,” Hubbard writes, “Look. See what you see, not what someone tells you that you see.” Unfortunately, Miller and Tuchman seem to find it difficult to do this. They see what they are told to see. Good little robots!
Yours sincerely,
